WHO ARE WE?

Graduate students from Duke University School of Nursing (DUSON) working towards our MSN in Nursing Informatics.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Developing an approach for a consistent representation of the workflow and dataflow in the health information technology (HIT) applications based on the evidence-based best practices, clinical guidelines, business rules, standard operational procedures, etc., specifically regarding child sex trafficking (CST) victims presenting to the emergency department (ED).

CAPSTONE DELIVERABLES

A collection of BPM+ models related to the identification & care coordination of child sex trafficking victims in the emergency department as well as tutorials (paper and presentation) for how these tools can be used to improve adoption of these guidelines.
