Review Agenda and Meeting Schedule

 Priority Item –Data Ecosystem Summit

Stan – Met at the American College of Surgeons last Thursday.  AMA, National Quality Registry (AMA), David Sheehan (Surgery Data Base) ONC, CMS.  The meeting provided an opportunity for information sharing.  Universally people understand the potential for interoperability.  Next steps will be to initiate specific projects around interoperability.  Eighty people were in attendance.

Do not have a date for the next meeting.  The goal will be to initiate projects around the used of standards based services.

Oscar – David Hoyt, the head of the American College of Surgeons, will support the HSPC model moving forward.  ONC connections were made and there will be calls with them tomorrow.  They are very interested in BPMN style of modeling.  Mayo also participated the meeting and were supportive.  ONC may be interested in funding some part of the platform.  The VA was represented by Paul Nichol.  The AHA has agreed to join HSPC.

Oscar – Frank Opelka, vice chairman, of LSU division.  Also head of quality for the American College of Surgeons.  He would like there to be a "services" based model for registries. He will be the driver for the project.
