Principals:

• Artifacts are managed with a general purpose artifact repository in common use within the software industry (Artifactory and Nexus are prototypical—but not comprehensive— examples)
• Artifacts have standardized metadata to enable tracking of provenance and versioned dependencies between artifacts (e.g. Maven dependency management and metadata is a prototypical—but not comprehensive—example)
• Contents of the artifacts (e.g. the contents and structure of the zip file) are to be specified by the Knowledge Management Group)
