Goals

List goals for this meeting (e.g., Set design priorities for FY19):

  • Address any Discuss the Situational Data Requirements from the Field Guide and OMG Meetings
  • Discussion all comments on the Item Definition update proposal

  • Update document as appropriate
  • Model class and its attributes
  • Identify next steps

Notes (raw)

We reviewed a slide that Denis had sent in to distinguish the semantic metamodel and the diagram metamodel. The diagram metamodel should only reference concepts in the semantic metamodel and not add any new concepts.

We discussed the elements around the Situational Data Model class.

We removed the EventHistory, Publisher, and Contributor classes, since they are provided by a Provenance and Pedigree service.

We discussed other metadata properties. The copyright, approvalDate, and lastReviewDate attributes might not be needed. They could be handled by a separate metadata specification. We set up an action item to review possibilities.

We reviewed the DataItem class, but did not get to the idea of a prototype element. We will discuss this next week.
