Goals
List goals for this meeting (e.g., Set design priorities for FY19):
- Address any Situational Data Requirements from the Field Guide and OMG Meetings
Discussion all comments on the Item Definition update proposal
- Update document as appropriate
- Identify next steps

Notes (raw)
We continued the review of Order Set (pre)data.
The example we are using is based on a sample PlanDefinition for a Cardiology Order Set.
We didn't have a large attendance, so we didn't make any conclusions.
We did think that we need to have a close look at the requirements related to the Order Set (pre)data in relationship to the BPM+ models.
Right now, there are 3 methods we can add this to the models.
- Use ItemDefinition enumeration constraints.
- This builds the information into the model, but requires multiple copies (not re-use) of the basic itemDefinition type (e.g., for a type for Medication, there would be multiple variations of the type, each with their own constraints).
- The runtime data that matches the constraints will still need to be fed into the process
- Use files (e.g., XML files) that contain the predata and use those at runtime to feed the process
- Something like this would have to be done anyway
- The files can be part of the Knowledge Package Manifest
- But the data is not built into the definition of the data items
- Define services that will retrieve the appropriate data and feed that into the Data Items at runtime
- This is the normal way of doing things for executable models.
- But the data is not built into the definition of the data items
This is where we are at now and need to define the steps forward.
