Discussion all comments on the Item Definition update proposal
- Update document as appropriate
- Identify next steps
Notes (raw)
We reviewed a new approach for the notation of SDMN.
This approach would replace the idea of a notation for modeling data types with an approach that provides a library of data items that have data types and other properties.
These data items would be what the modelers would reuse in the other three pillars.
The SDMN model would also utilize the CMMN concept of parent and child relationships (shown through connectors) TBDand this would solve the sub-data element issue.
There was agreement on the call that this approach is appropriate.
The new notation does not negate any of the requirements we've recorded and our work on the item definition metamodel will continue as is.
