Utilization Scenarios

Clinical Decision Support can mean a myriad of different things depending on the perspective, role, and experience of the person whose opinion is being solicited. The following domain scenarios serve to illustrate possible applications for a knowledge management platform such as CCA within a healthcare delivery system. Several of the scenarios borrow heavily from those described in the HL7 Decision Support Service (DSS) Service Functional Model Version 1.0. We have both embellished and simplified these scenarios to clarify context and  remain  indebted to this effort. Attribution is provided for the entire scenario in lieu of quoting text that we have repurposed verbatim.
