- SOA WG - Chair - Call for Nominations
- Davide reminded the group that the official Call for Nominations was sent out to the general HSPC mailing list last Friday.

- PRESENTATION: eHealth Architecture Principles
- See PDF attached above
- Zoran Milosevic presented an overview of the eHealth architecture principles used by NEHTA in Australia
- The foundational documents can be obtained from NEHTA ...
- Register (5 minutes max; free) to get access to the documents
- eHealth Architecture Principles
- eHealth Interoperability Framework
- Discussion points included ...
- (Todd) Given the concise statements, many with specialized terms like "interoperability", how hard was it to get consensus on the published documents?
- (Zoran) VERY!!! But when it was all completed, there was strong consensus and support for the set of principles
- (Davide) Which is exactly why HSPC should use these as a starting point - since they have already been vetted by a group of experts
- (Davide) These should be replicated on the HSPC Architectural Principles wiki page, but some "leveling" added; for example, some are more general and business focused, while others are technically focused at specific architectural layers or service design
- Should consider adopting these as HSPC's starting set
- The implications section should include a focus on the HSPC-specific implications of the application of the principle
- (Zoran) have any of the participants been involved in principle development in the past?
- (Keith) yes, most recently for a Mayo project
- (Zoran) Is HSPC only U.S. focused or are they open to international engagement?
- (Davide) Though the key HSPC provider members and vendors are U.S. based, the organization is actively talking with organizations in Canada +
- Summits such as the 2015 semantics / terminology summit included representatives from across the planet, and
- In general, the open standards-based health informatics community is ... international!
- (Todd) Given the concise statements, many with specialized terms like "interoperability", how hard was it to get consensus on the published documents?
- ACTIONS
- (Todd) update wiki w/ documents
- (Davide, Zoran) Update HSPC Architectural Principles wiki page with these principles, correlated with Oscar's initial set, for comment and adoption as HSPC's
- (SOA WG) Comment on these principles
- Next Meeting
