In the SCE MM. SemanticReference was a sub-class of NamedElement. But this created a recursive relationship such that a SemanticReference could have its own SemanticReference.
So, SemanticReference was moved to a type of BaseElement. and a name property was added to replace the name from NamedElement.
Get an enumerated set of relationship types?
- No - we decided to remove relationshipType from Semantic Reference.
Post-coordinated relationships can be applied in place of the relationshipType
ConceptType is a broader concept
- Remove ConceptType from MM
Can make complicated URIs
URI ontology
Do we need the version?
What did it mean at the time?
FDA quality model indicates that we should specify the version to which the reference was applied to.
- We will add a conceptNamespace URI to handle this (as part of SemanticReference)
