We reviewed the current approached of piggy-backing on the approach being used by the OMG BPMN/CMMN/DMN harmonization effort.
we realized that we need a new modeling specification for Situation Data Modeling. This would be separate from the common BPM+ specification, but would be developed in parallel.
This other spec would allow the modeling of a separate Data Dictionary model that can be used by the other BPM+ models.
BPMN, CMMN, and DMN all have an Import capability. Thus, they already have the capability to copy-by-reference data dictionary elements. We don't need any extensions for this requirement ( BH-78 - Getting issue details... STATUS )
The requirement for linking to external ontologies ( BH-84 - Getting issue details... STATUS ) can be addressed by adding a new attribute named "attachment" with a type of URI (figure to be added).
Additional Jira requirements will be identified and applied to the meta models and we'll continue the discussion next time.
