25 min | Discuss DocBook Work Needed and How to Model the Various Types of CDS KNART Clinical Statements | Keith | - Keith: Asked Stephanie to add the task shown below to the OSEHRA issues backlog. This relates to the work that Franklin Cuello is doing. Sarita: There are between 5-7 requirements.
- Update the requirements in the DocBook appendix to be consistent with those just submitted by Sarita. See Sarita's email from today (8/22/17, subj: "CTTDM Tooling Phase 2 Requirements - Review Requested."
- Keith: Referred to the use cases document that he sent today. We can take certain things and turn them into a clinical statement and put it into the use case section labeled "Data Fields Required" and rename it to "Clinical Statements Required." He and Stephanie did this earlier for an example use case he sent yesterday for Angina ED care.
- Keith: This is a bottom-up approach given that we are taking the information from the white paper and making the determinations shown below.
- Need to document how you decide if a clinical statement is an action request, action performance, phenomenon measurement, or phenomenon measurement goal. Need instructions on what goes where and we have a strawman from our Monday call.
- Then, we need to decide what goes into the topic and what goes into the circumstance. If the topic is only one thing, then you move onto circumstance.
- Keith: Gave the example of determining what parts of "Nitroglycerin 0.4 mg tablet sublingual every 5 minutes as needed for chest pain; maximum 3 tablets (routine" are included in the topic vs. circumstance. This is the type of information that needs to be documented in his spreadsheet. Claude needs to create a basic recipe that contains guidance/information for making this determination and the determination as to which type of clinical statement is the best fit.
