Goals
List goals for this meeting (e.g., Set design priorities for FY19):
- Address any Situational Data Requirements from the Field Guide and OMG Meetings
Discussion all comments on the Item Definition update proposal
- Update document as appropriate
- Identify next steps
Notes (raw)
Dave walked us through current FHIR work on order sets that are in use by Allscripts and Elsevier and have been demonstrated at FHIR connectathons.
It uses the PlanDefinition format, which is used for 4 things:
- Clinical Protocols
- Workflow Definitions
- Recommendations
- Order Sets
There is metadata attached to allow searching. E.g., from Elsevier:
- by condition
- by medications
- by labs
Dave walked through some JSON files to show the structure
Decision logic hasn't been included yet
but will be done through CQL expressions that are stored in a library
The structures of ActivityDefinition and Action have multiple mappings to BPM+ elements (it is rather confusing).
One key issue is the specification of order set data (e.g., specific dosages) in the Model. We don't have a clear mapping to how this will be done in BPM+
