Text To Voice (T2V)

We've chosen Tropo (http://www.tropo.com) as our VoIP/SIP/T2V and V2T provider.

The developer/testing environment is free and Emory has set up a paid production account (eafry/C0gnitive!).

To use Tropo, the developer creates scripts (a variety of scripting languages are supported) on the Tropo service and is then able to manipulate them through the use of a REST API.

Full interactive voice response scripts can be built. The service also provides multi-lingual transcription services along with call recording to capture incoming messages (note - transcription and not translation!)

The documentation for the service is comprehensive and copious examples are provided.

For our purposes we will create the necessary scripts on the Tropo service and then use a Nifi egress processor to manipulate them in response to the message to be sent.
