“State Assessment” is the determination of a set of characteristics that describe the actual configuration of an individual at a point in time, in contrast to any and all the possible configurations that the individual might have.
Example: the severity of the progression of a disease at a point time, vs 2 years earlier, or 5 years later (predicted)
